Delhi-based fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi recently stunned her 2.5 million Instagram followers by debuting a breathtaking 20kg white gown that she designed and stitched herself. The intricate dress, which took over 300 hours to create, features a voluminous skirt made from 50 meters of luxurious satin and a fitted bodice covered in thousands of hand-sewn pearls and crystals.

“I wanted to push the boundaries of what’s possible with needle and three,” said Tyagi, who taught herself advanced sewing techniques by watching YouTube tutorials. “This dress is a true labor of love and testament to the power of creativity and perseverance.”

Tyagi, who has amassed a loyal following for her bold fashion choices and inspiring DIY tutorials, first sketched out the dress design last year. She then spent months sourcing the finest materials, including a rare pearl-infused satin from Itlay and Swarovski crystals from Austria.

“The most challenging part was figuring out how to construct the skirt to achieve that perfect, gravity-defying shape, “Tyagi explained. “I must make 20 prototypes before landing on the right technique.”

The final result is nothing short of breathtaking. The skirt billows out in a perfect dome, supported by an internal steel frame that Tyagi welded herself. The crystals on the bodice catch the light and seem to make the dress glow from within.

“When I put it on for the first time, I literally gasped, “Tyagi admitted. “I couldn’t believe I had created something so beautiful and intricate with my own two hands.”

Tyagi debuted the dress at a high-profile fashion event in Delhi, where it was the talk of the evening. Celebrities and influencers clamored to get their picture taken with her, and the dress quickly went viral on social media.

“I’ve never seen anything like it, “raved one partygoer. “It’s like a work of art that you can wear.”

Tyagi’s followers were equally awestruck, with many praising her creativity and sewing skills.

“You are so talented, Nancy! This dress is a masterpiece,” commented one fan. “I can’t even imagine the patience and skill it took to make this.”

Another wrote, “You’ve inspired mme to pick yp sewing again. If you can creat something this stunning, maybe I can too!”

Tyagi hopes her dress will encourage others, especially young women, to pursue their creative passions.

“So often we’re told that sewing and fashion and frivolous hobbies,”she said. “But the truth is, they require immense talent, discipline and problem-solb=ving skills. I want to show that you can turn your love of fashion into a powerful form of self-expression and even a successful career.”

The dress has also caught the eye of the fashion industry, with several high-profile designers reaching out to Tyagi about potential collaborations.

“I’m so honored that my work is being recognized by the pros,” she said. “But for now, I.m just enjoying this moment and feeling greatful for all the love and support from my community.” As for what’s next, Tyagi teased that she’s already dreaming up her next big sewing project.

“I can’t give too much away, but let’s just say it’s going to be even more epic than this dress,” she hinted. ” I’m just getting started.”
