“SATSANG” ASHRAM PRADHAN ACHARYADEVA HAS DONATE A SUM OF ₹1,00,00,000/- TO THE CHEIF MINISTER RELIEF FUND OF SIKKIM

 A team of representatives sent by Sree Sree Acharyadeva visited the honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Goley to hand him over the cheque in a government event held at Chintan Bhawan, Gangtok, Sikkim at 2 pm on 20th October, 2023.

Giving fund to Sikkim Chief Minister’s as a sympathy and support 

Parama Pujyapada Pradhan Acharyadeva of “ SATSANG ” has donated a sum of ₹1,00,00,000/- ( Rupee One Crore Only ) on 20th October, 2023, to the Chief Minister’s Relief fund of Sikkim as a token of sympathy and support to the afflicted in the recent disastrous flood caused by the devastating glacial lake Outburst in the state.

The hon’ble C.M. on behalf of the people of Sikkim expressed his gratitude and regards to satsang and Parama Pujyapada Acharyadeva for this generous act towards the distressed peoples of Sikkim in their hours of need.

What Problem Are They Facing

Now we know that it was done in Sikkim in the month of June. 

A flash flood in the river teesta in Sikkim’s lachen valley has wreaked havoc in the Himalayan city. The flood was caused by sudden cloud burst over lhonak lake in north Sikkim, which led to a sudden increase in water levels.

 Following the clouds burst at least 23 army personel have been reported missing due to a flash flood. Because Army establishment washed away server damage and Army vehicle submerged.

Singtam foot bridge collapses part of NH10 . Several sections of national Highway 10, which connects west Bangal to Sikkim, were wasted away. That reason washed away Sikkim govt sound high alerts .


Flood Fury Causes Severe Damage 

Some military installations in the valley have been affected and parked army vehicles were swept away by the raging floodwaters. Vivek Kumar, The Deputy Commandant 2nd Battalion Sikkim said that three civilian dead bodies have been found. The situation worsened further after more water was released from a nearby dam into the river, causing the water level to rise up.

The army said that a massive search operation has been launched to locate the missing soldiers. Sikkim authorities have also started evacuating people from low-lying areas

The Singtam Foot Bridge over river Teesta had collapsed due to overflowing river, causing damage to any armies establishment. Those living on the banks of the Teesta River have also been advised to evacuate their homes to ensure their safety.The Sikkim government has sounded a high alert in the state and has asked people to stay away from the river Teesta. 

IMD has issues an orange alert warning of heavy rain in Gangtok, Gyalshing, Pakyong and Sorang district. Amid the flood-like situation due to the cloudburst, CM Prem Singh Tamang took stock of the situation in Singtam. Tamang urged all our citizens to remain vigilant and refrain from unnecessary travel during this critical time. BJP state president Dr Thapa said several properties have been damaged and requested all institutions to support Sikkim.

In June this year, the north Sikkim district experienced a devasting flash flood due to heavy monsoon rain. The flash flooding left approximately 2,400 tourists stranded in the region, and the army was called in for rescue operations.

Last year, severe flooding in the state displaced tens of thousands and killed at least 24 people.
