Director Todd phillips shared a photo of Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Arthur Fleck, the troubled man who becomes the iconic Joker. The film also starts Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener.
The working title, Folie a Deux, refers to a medical term for a shared mental disorder affecting two or more individuals, hinting at the potential direction of the sequel. Joker: Folie a Deux is set to be released in theatres on October 4, 2024.
