Route Mobile, a leading cloud communications platform provider, has partnered with Billeasy E Solutions to enable RouteMobile Expands WhatsApp-based metro ticket booking in four major Indian Cities – Nagpur, Pune, Hyderabad, and Delhi.

This innovative solution allows commuters to purchase metro tickets directly through WhatsApp, without the need to visit a physical ticket counter or use dedicated mobile apps. The service is now available for over 75 lakh daily metro passengers across these cities.

Route Mobile first launched the WhatsApp ticketing service for Delhi Metro in the second half of 2023. Now, they have expanded the offering to three additional cities – Nagpur, Pune, and Hyderabad – through a partnership with integration partner Billeasy, who has been pioneering this solution since 2020.

Seamless Ticket Booking on WhatsApp

To use the WhatApp-bassed ticketing service, commuters simply need to chat with the official WhatApp account of their respective metro. They can then follow a few simple steps to select their travel route, choose the number of tickets, and make the payment using their preferred method, such as UPI, net banking, or debit/credit cards.

Upon successful completion of the transaction, the user will receive the tickets directly as a WhatsApp message, in the form of a link that opens the QR code ticket. This QR code can then be presented at the metro station to complete the journey.
