Vijay Raaz Speaks Out on Son of Sardaar 2 Controversy

veteran actor Vijay Raaz has been making headlines after being removed from the past of the upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2. The producers claim he was dropped due to unprofessional conduct on set, but Raaz presents a different side to the story. In an exclusive interview, he shares his perspective on the controversy and the real reason behind his exit from the film.

Raaz’s Version of Events

According to Raaz, his removal from Son of Sardaar 2 had nothing to do with misconduct. He asserts that the sole reason was that he did not greet lead actor Ajay Devgn upon arriving on set for a costume trial. Raaz states, “I reached the location before the time for the trial. I didn’t greet Ajay Devgn because he was busy, and I continued to speak to my friends around. Thirty minutes later, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, ‘Aap film se nikal jaaye, hum aapko nikal rahe hai.’ The only misconduct from my end is that I didn’t greet Mr. Ajay Devgn. I was removed from the film within 30 minutes of reaching the sets.”

Producer’s Stance

However, the film’s co-producer Kumar Mangat Pathak presents a different account. He confirms that Raaz was indeed removed from the project due to issues with his conduct on set. Pathak elaborates, “Yes, it’s true that we have removed Vijay Raaz from the film because of his behavior on the sets. He demanded bigger rooms, and a vanity van, and also overcharged us for the spot boys. His spot boy was paid Rs 20,000 per night, which is more than what some of the biggest actors pay.”

Pathak adds that despite trying to accommodate Raaz’s demands, his behavior continued to worsen. “When we tried explaining the costing scenario to him, he refused to understand and spoke rudely. His constant response was, ‘Aap logo ne mujhe approach kiya, main kaunsa saamne se aaya kam mangne.’ We tried to accommodate all his demands, but the behavior kept getting worse. He started to demand two cars for a three-person staff to travel as well. After all the discussions, we decided to remove him from the film.

Raaz’s Rebuttal

Raaz strongly denies the producer’s claims, asserting that the real reason behind his removal was his refusal to return the advance payment he had received. He alleges, “They are trying to defame me by writing articles against me. The truth is, they gave me an advance payment, and when I refused to return it, they removed me from the film and are now trying to malign my image by accusing me of misconduct.”

Son of Sardaar 2

Son of Sardaar 2 is the sequel to the 2012 hit comedy film Son of Sardaar. Directed by Ashwani Dhir, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Deepak Dobriyal, Chunky Panday, and Mrunal Thakur. The action-comedy revolves around a man named Jassi (Ajay Devgan) who returns to his father’s death and gets entangled in a series of comedic and action-filled events involving local rivalries and misunderstandings.

Conclusion

The controversy surrounding Vijay Raaz’s removal from Son of Sardaar 2 has sparked a war of words between the actor and the producers. While the producers allege unprofessional conduct, Raaz maintains that the real reason was his refusal to return the advance payment. As the dust settles, fans eagerly await the release of the film to see if it can live up to the success of its predecessor.
